The kids attended a workshop today with some kids from our homeschooling group. The topic was the garment industry in New York City's history.

The kids were given the quota of making a utility apron for every kid in the class.

Learning about the division of labor in factories, the kids were assigned specific jobs. Frederick's job was sewing the side seams.

Olivia's job was an inspector and finisher. She made sure the aprons were made correctly and then she put the finishing touches on the garments. The group made the quota and everyone went home with an apron.
