We took a morning walk through Central Park yesterday. 

After a long, cold spring, it's so nice to see things blooming and green.

It always makes my eyes happy to see a lake. This is actually the reservior in the park.

The birds are migrating through the park now and we saw a warbler right around this spot.

Our walk lead us to the Met, where we met a group for a field trip.

The topic of the tour was Ancient Egypt. 

The Met has a large collection of Egyptian artifacts, 

including this temple.
Freddy is in the green t-shirt and gray pants.

The tour guide explained some hieroglyphs in a chamber in a tomb. 

Olivia is in the ponytail with Freddy right behind her. 

It was crowded in that small space.

We had a picnic lunch and worked on our nature journals for awhile. 

The day was very windy, but warm in the sunny spots.
