Break a leg

The kids tried out for the spring musical that our homeschooling theater group is doing. These are their audition photos.


The day after auditions, there was a cast meeting. The meeting place was on Roosevelt Island, which is in the East River between Manhattan and Queens. We rode a tram high above the river to get there.

Thirty-seven kids packed into the apartment and played games to get to know each other.

And we've been waiting to hear the casting. Olivia is going to play the part of Tessie, a cry-baby orphan. Frederick has the part of Orphan Boy and he also has the role of a Cabinet Member. Rehearsals begin soon.
